The University Interscholastic League (UIL) released the 2020–21 and 2021–22 football, basketball and volleyball district assignments. Realignment affects all UIL sports, but none more so than football, which has the most elaborate playoffs of all the sports with several classifications split into two divisions based on enrollment numbers.

Vandegrift and Vista Ridge high schools will compete in Class 6A, while Cedar Park, Glenn, Leander and Rouse high schools will participate in Class 5A.
