The summer STAAR EOC testing will occur at Vista Ridge High School during the week of June 22–25, 2021. All STAAR testing will be conducted in person.
- Tuesday, June 22 – English I
- Wednesday, June 23 – Algebra I
- Thursday, June 24 – English II
- Friday, June 25 – Biology and US History
English I and II assessments are 5-hour tests while the others are 4-hour tests. Students will have the full time to test, but may depart if the student finishes prior to the end of the designated time.
Who may take the STAAR EOC in June 2021?
Students who have:
- completed one or more of the following courses: Algebra I, Biology, English I, English II, and US History
- students who have taken an EOC and have not met the passing standard previously
- students who were absent from one of the previous assessment opportunities
- students who chose to not come in to the building to test due to Covid concerns
What does the student need to bring/ do in preparation for testing?
To check in, please enter the front of the building at the main office and bring:
- student identification with picture
- district laptop/device (students may not bring their own device to test)
How may a student review for an upcoming STAAR EOC?
Review sessions will be held during the week of June 14–18 via Zoom sessions. Please visit the Summer School page for more information and access the HS Summer STAAR EOC Review and Test Dates. We highly encourage our students to attend as many as possible to assist in their success.
Will transportation be provided for students for testing dates?
Students may ride the bus to VRHS in the morning, and if the student has completed the assessment by 1 p.m., the student may utilize the bus transportation to return home. Transportation routes will be posted in the very near future.
Exámenes de Fin de Curso STAAR verano de 2021
Los exámenes de fin de curso STAAR (EOC por sus siglas en inglés) se realizarán en la Escuela Preparatoria Vista Ridge (200 S. Vista Ridge Blvd., Cedar Park, TX 78613) durante la semana de junio 22 al 25 de 2021. Todas las pruebas STAAR se llevarán a cabo de forma presencial.
- Martes 22 de junio – Inglés I
- Miércoles 23 de junio – Algebra I
- Jueves 24 de junio – Inglés II
- Viernes 25 de junio – Biología e Historia de EE.UU.
Las pruebas de Inglés I y II son pruebas de 5 horas de duración, mientras que las otras son de 4 horas. Los estudiantes tendrán la totalidad del tiempo para presentar la prueba, pero pueden retirarse si terminan antes del tiempo designado.
¿Quién podría tomar el STAAR de fin de curso (EOC) en junio de 2021?
Estudiantes que hayan:
- Completado uno o más de los siguientes cursos: Álgebra I, Biología, Inglés I, Inglés II, Historia de EE.UU.
- Estudiantes que hayan tomado un examen de fin de curso (EOC) y no hayan alcanzado el estándar de aprobación estatal anteriormente.
- Estudiantes que estuvieron ausentes de una de las oportunidades anteriores de presentar las pruebas.
- Estudiantes que escogieron no venir a las escuelas a presentar las pruebas debido a preocupaciones por COVID-19.
¿Qué necesita hacer/traer el estudiante en preparación para las pruebas?
Para presentarse a la prueba, por favor venir a la oficina principal de la Escuela Preparatoria Vista Ridge, localizada en 200 S. Vista Ridge Blvd., Cedar Park, TX 78613 y traer:
- Identificación del estudiante con foto
- Computador del distrito/equipo (los estudiantes no deben traer su propio computador para presentar las pruebas)
¿Cómo puede un estudiante repasar para una próxima prueba STAAR de fin de curso (EOC)?
Habrá sesiones de repaso durante la semana de junio 14 al 18 en Zoom. Aconsejamos a nuestros estudiantes asistir a la mayor cantidad de sesiones de repaso posibles para mejores resultados.
¿Habrá servicio de transporte para los estudiantes los días de las pruebas?
Los estudiantes pueden venir en la ruta del bus de VRHS en la mañana, y si el estudiante ha completado la prueba antes de la 1 p.m., el estudiante puede utilizar el transporte del bus escolar para regresar a casa. Publicaremos las rutas de transporte próximamente.
