Senior Tyler Lester at Vista Ridge High School is the Leander ISD Student Athletic Trainer of the Week.

Tyler is a student athletic trainer who has served for four years as the head of sport for the baseball, volleyball, boys basketball and football teams. He has been selected as the Most Outstanding Athletic Training Student two years in a row. 

“I would describe Tyler as being dependable and composed when emergency action plans have been activated,” VRHS Athletic Trainer Jose Carrillo said. “He is able to be both diligent and focused when seconds matter most.”

Tyler serves as vice president of CARE (Christ Among Rangers Everyday), and is also a member of the FCA, the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society. He has also been on the Honor Roll throughout his 4 years at VRHS.
