Leander High School senior Emma Aldred has been named Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Aldred is the Varsity Tennis Team Captain and four-year participant on the Leander Lion Tennis Team.
Not only is Aldred a leader on the tennis court, but also in the classroom. She serves as vice president of the National Honor Society, president of Mu Alpha Theta, and she is ranked No. 1 in her graduating class.
Aldred balances tennis practices and competitions while still serving on Student Council and the Spanish National Honor Society, as well as International Baccalaureate programs. On the tennis court, Aldred is an outstanding leader and serves as a role model for her teammates.
“Emma goes out on the court and gives 100 percent every day,” Head Tennis Coach Matt Kostoff said. “She is always positive, even with the toughest assignment. She’s an excellent role model, a great leader, and everything a coach could dream of in a student-athlete.”
Aldred showcases what it means to be a true student-athlete, and Leander ISD Athletics is proud to name her as student-athlete of the week.
