Junior Brannan Espericueta from Rouse High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week. He is a member and captain of the Raider swim team, and was a state qualifier for two relays his sophomore year.

Rouse High School’s Head Swim Coach Savannah Robinson said that Brannan always gives 100 percent during swim practices.

“Brannon could be tired, sore, running on fumes and he will still show up to give it his all. In addition to putting his best into practice, he also puts his best into his academics,” Robinson said. “He approaches everything with a smile and a good attitude. Brannan is a well rounded young man with a bright future ahead of him. I cannot wait to see the path he carves out to success.”

Brannan has received the College Board National Hispanic Recognition Award for outstanding performance on the PSAT and AP exams. He is also a member of the National Honor Society.
