Get on your feet for Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week Calvin Kesler!
The Leander Middle School eighth-grader plays football and runs track. On the Tiger football team, Calvin makes plays all over the field on offense, defense and special teams. Even while grappling on the gridiron, Calvin still finds time to push himself academically. He has managed to maintain straight A’s while taking two high school courses and Pre-AP classes at LMS.
“Calvin is an excellent student on and off the field,” Leander MS boys athletic coordinator Greg Steger said. “He’s the type of athlete who plays with heart each and every snap despite a quiet demeanor. Calvin’s coachability allows him to play with relentless effort no matter how big the opponent.”
