Spotted for her bold and brassy commitment to her sports and studies, Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week Mya Cheatum’s determination has shaped her spirit.
The Cedar Park Middle School seventh-grader leads the Lady Leopard volleyball team as their captain. Mya also intends to try out for the basketball and track teams. Beyond athletics, she performs with the varsity women’s choir and youth choir. Mya participates with Student Council and AVID. She takes the cake as an “A” honor roll student.
“Mya excels in everything she does,” Cedar Park Middle School volleyball coach Robin Keller said. “She is fearless and extremely passionate for her teammates and her extracurriculars. Mya’s hard work and leadership shines in her performance and relationship with teammates, classmates and coaches.”
