Libby Lee from Danielson Middle School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Libby is an eighth grade member of the Bearkats volleyball and basketball teams, and plans on running track in the spring. According to her coaches, she was an integral part of the Danielson MS undefeated volleyball season and is currently a key player for the Bearkats basketball team.
Danielson MS Girls Coach, Stephani Jackson-Harris, said that Libby is not just a great athlete, but also a positive role model for all Danielson students.
“Libby is the definition of a servant leader, she stepped into a much needed role in volleyball and never hesitated when asked to do more. She works hard both on and off the court so that her team can have success,” Jackson-Harris said. “She has already been and will continue to be a force on the basketball court this year. Most of all, her success on the courts does not define her as a person.”
Libby also excels in the classroom, receiving excellent grades despite her demanding athletic schedule.
