Eighth grader Dylan Gonzales from Henry Middle School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Dylan is a member of the Hawk football, basketball and track teams. Dylan has earned MVP honors in all three sports and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society.
HMS Boys Athletic Coordinator Craig West said that Dylan is a leader on the field and in the classroom.
“Dylan is the image that coaches portray when describing the perfect athlete. Dylan is an excellent quarterback and fantastic basketball player and an absolute competitor in track,” West said. “I have never been around a kid that has as much determination as Dylan. He is the greatest competitor that I have coached and one of the best young men I have been around.”
