Four Points Middle School science teacher Tyler Lutz is this week’s Leander ISD Staff Spotlight.

Tyler is an adored teacher at FPMS, largely due to the way he utilizes his passions and interests in order to engage his students. He is currently piloting a martial arts leadership class focused on developing self-discipline and connection. He also designed his classroom using Harry Potter themes.

In addition, he regularly seeks out leadership opportunities to support students and staff.

“Electric, this master teacher is electric – everything he touches or engages with shines with that energy,” FPMS Principal Steve Crawford said. “Kids fall over each other to be in his class and experience his leadership.”

Tyler is dedicated to going above and beyond the demands of teaching science in order to help his students develop positive habits and think about who they are and who they can become.
