Science Teacher Tyler Terry at Cedar Park High School is the Leander ISD Staff Spotlight of the Week.
Tyler was nominated by his student, Ben McDanald, who said that Tyler is incredibly knowledgeable of all things anatomy and physiology, and is confident in everything he teaches.
Ben described Tyler as a loyal teacher and community member, and that Tyler is interested and invested in every one of his student’s extra curricular activities.
“Mr. Terry has never missed a concert or performance, and even made a cameo in my school’s main stage musical!” Ben said. “He is so great at connecting with students while being super professional and an excellent teacher.”
Despite coming in halfway through the semester, Tyler was immediately able to connect with students. To help them study, he enjoys creating bizarre mnemonic devices that, according to his students, are helpful and funny.
