LISD families can now secure their students’ district-provided laptops for the 2025-2026 school year. While participation in this program is optional, we want to keep parents informed about updates and ensure a smooth transition into the new school year.

Our new payment platform, MySchoolBucks, is now open for students to pay the non-refundable security deposit:

  • $60.00 for high school students
  • $40.00 for middle school students
  • $0 for all students who qualify for free and reduced meals

Paying the deposit allows your child to keep their laptop/Chromebook over the summer, ensuring it is ready to use on the first day of school.

Benefits of Keeping the Laptop/Chromebook Over the Summer

  • Practice typing and explore self-guided learning projects
  • Access eBooks via Overdrive or Google Books
  • Have their device on the first day of school, avoiding delays in distribution
  • One less expense in your August back-to-school budget, as the security deposit is already covered

Important Note About MySchoolBucks

MySchoolBucks does not feature a campus-specific or mLISD store like our previous vendor, EdPay. Instead, all student fees and deposits are managed through a parent/guardian account. Parents can log in from a phone, tablet, or computer to pay for all items for each of their children in one location.

To get started:

  1. Create an account on MySchoolBucks.
  2. Add your student using their school name, student ID, or birthdate.
  3. Select the deposit option and check out using a credit or debit card.
