The community-based job fair last month was a success! Please join us for our next community-based job fair on Friday, Nov. 10 from 1-5 p.m. at the LEO Center. Our community has a wide variety of job and career opportunities to choose from. Whether you’re a high school student looking for afterschool employment, you recently moved to the area, you have been taking some time off, or you have been working for years and are just looking for a change, join us! 

The Leander Chamber of Commerce, local businesses and Leander ISD partnered to offer the community an opportunity for potential employees to meet face-to-face and participate in hiring opportunities. Yoko Jones, now an Instructional Assistant for Leander ISD, found her fit as an Instructional Assistant at Cypress Elementary through the job fair. One of her favorite things about the event was that she was able to speak with someone face-to-face. “I was confused about the differences between the IA positions,” said Jones. “It was a valuable experience as I was able to get connected with the right person to help me figure out which job I wanted to apply for.”

“It was great to see our community come together to provide this event,” Sharksburger co-owner Dino Bullara said. “We were able to hire someone because of this event and we are looking forward to meeting more people at this next job fair. We need people in all positions — as managers and as staff. Students and adults are welcome to apply, so stop on by!”

This is a community-wide event for all of the greater Leander Cedar Park areas. Employment opportunities for a variety of positions are available. Bring a friend, bring a family member, and swing by to see what opportunities could belong to you.
