Sometimes, the best learning happens outside of the classroom.
Students at Stiles Middle School had the opportunity to learn first-hand the benefits of an online library in a truck. Overdrive’s Bookmobile is a 42-foot long truck designed to help students understand online libraries and ebooks in an interactive medium.
“Ebooks help break down those wall in the Library,” librarian Bobbie Johnson said. “It’s really a wonderful resource and we are excited to have the Bookmobile at Stiles.”
All-digital Bookmobile events are free to host and attend.

“If I didn’t have this program, I wouldn’t feel really prepared for my future plans – I want to be a BWM technician,” Glenn High School student Javier Peña said. “And the fact that there’s a program out there in this district that [prepares students] is just amazing.”
