Leander ISD is proud to welcome Kristopher Price as Head Football Coach and Athletics Coordinator at Leander High School.

Price joins the district after a successful five-year stint as defensive coordinator at Keller High School. The coaching veteran boasts stops across Texas, including Fort Worth Dunbar, Colleyville Heritage, Mexia and Boerne high schools.

“Principal Simpson and I are thrilled that Coach Price will be joining the Leander High School family and the Leander ISD community,” said LISD Athletic Director Jody Hormann. “Coach Price brings a level of excitement and dedication, as well as a plan for the continued development of our student-athletes, both academically and athletically. His core values of honesty, loyalty and commitment to being a Leander High School Lion are critical as he looks to build all athletic programs at LHS. We look forward to adding his leadership to our team.”

During his tenure at Keller, Price helped develop 33 all-district players and an Army All-American. He has coached defense at the 4A, 5A and 6A level.

“I’m very excited to join Leander High School, and Leander ISD,” Price said. “I would like to thank Coach Hormann, Mr. Simpson, and all of the members of the search committee. Throughout the interview process, the committee made it very clear that not only does Leander High School offer a high-quality education and athletic experience, but it also offers a great place for me and my family to live and be a part of the community. I look forward to leading the athletic program and bringing a new energy to Leander High School. Go Lions!”
