Six LISD students received diplomas from the SELF Project SEARCH program during a ceremony Thursday, May 16, at Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital in Austin.
SELF Project SEARCH is a branch of LISD’s 18+ Continuum program. All graduates will go on to paid employment at local businesses. During the course of the internship, LISD students may be employed at Ascension Seton Northwest, while the others will go on to work at businesses throughout the greater Cedar Park and Leander community.
The six graduating student interns were:
- Taylor Hill (unable to attend)
- Taleia Karimi
- Trey Moran
- Sabeer Siddigui
- Olivia Voyce
- Katharine Work
The goal of Project SEARCH is for every student with a disability to be employed at least 16 hours per week once they complete this year-long program.
Thank you to those in attendance who supported these students throughout the year, including Director of Special Education Amy Rudd, Project SEARCH staff, LISD Board members and so many others.
Congratulations to these students on a job well done!
