Leander ISD performers shined on Saturday during the Austin Regional Bands of America competition at the Kelley Reeves Athletic Complex.
Cedar Park, Leander, Vandegrift and Vista Ridge High Schools finished in the top 10, with Vandegrift HS placing no. 2.
Leander HS and Cedar Park HS placed first and second, respectively, in the Class AAA division during the preliminary rounds. In addition to finishing no. 2 overall and is Class AAAA, Vandegrift HS tied for the distinction of Outstanding Music Performance with Claudia Taylor Johnson High School in San Antonio.
All six LISD high schools will perform at the Bands of America Super Regional Championship in San Antonio this November.
