The Cedar Park, Rouse and Leander high school bands dominated the field at the UIL 5A State Marching Band Competition in San Antonio.

The Timberwolves claimed their fourth consecutive state championship, while Rouse notched its highest finish ever as state runner up. Leander HS made it a podium sweep for the district’s talented musicians, claiming third place and further cementing LISD’s ongoing excellence in marching band.

The laurels likely won’t stop there. Vandegrift and Vista Ridge high schools (defending state runner-up and defending state champion, respectively) will compete in the 6A State Marching Band Competition at the Alamodome Nov. 8–9 and have a strong chance at bringing home another title.

Congratulations to these talented musicians, their directors and their support community!
