LISD band students and their directors are in San Antonio for the first day of the TMEA Convention. These students earned a spot in one of the All-State organizations, one of the highest honors an individual student can achieve.
They’ll spend the rest of the week in intensive rehearsals with a nationally known conductor and interact with student musicians from all over the state, performing in Lila Cockrell Theatre on Saturday.
And a big congratulations to Rouse High School band director Jason Robb for being named Phi Beta Mu Young Bandmaster of the Year at the 2018 TMEA Convention.
