With nearly 50 nominations across the Heller Awards for Young Artists categories, theatre students from five Leander ISD high schools will head to the Long Center April 17 to be recognized for their outstanding achievements on the stage.

Cedar Park High School’s “Elf,” Glenn High School’s “Mean Girls,” Leander High School’s “Matilda,” Rouse High School’s “Addams Family” and Vista Ridge High School’s “Urinetown” have all been nominated in multiple categories, including overall production, student marketing and costume design.

This year’s Heller Awards feature 37 schools, 18 districts and 90 teachers.
