Better together makes twin sisters Lyra and Poet Williams our Fine Arts Students of the Week!
The Williams sisters attend Canyon Ridge Middle School. The 8th graders were working on the spring show, Alice vs. Wonderland.
Lyra took on the role of stage manager, helping her directors and crew patiently and effectively. Lyra also received an Outstanding Technician award for her work on our UIL One Act Play in December.
While Lyra prefers to work backstage, her sister Poet enjoys the spotlight. Poet first hopped onto the CRMS stage last semester in a Theatre 1 class play as the Easter Bunny. Now she is acting, singing, and dancing as Alice 2. Her kindness and willingness to take risks have helped other actors follow her example.
“Lyra and Poet both exemplify hard work, commitment, dedication, loyalty, and talent in their own distinct ways,” CRMS Theatre Arts teacher Brandy Roth said. “They have quickly become valued members of our CRMS Theatre Arts family!”
