Leander ISD is proud to name Hannah Barnard as the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.

Hannah is a senior at Vandegrift High School and started singing in sixth grade at Canyon Ridge Middle School under the direction of Courtney Kelly. Hannah was the first and only student at Vandegrift to be a member of the Varsity Women’s Choir as a freshman.

Hannah has participated in the All-State Choir process for three years. As a junior, she was name fifth-chair soprano 1 to the All-State Women’s Choir and was a featured soloist in one of the selections. As a senior, Hannah was named first chair soprano 1 in the 2018 All-State Mixed Choir. 

 Hannah also played the lead role of Fiona in the VHS Choir production of “Shrek the Musical” in September of 2017 and has been a finalist at the Sarofim competition at Southwestern University in 2016 and 2017. She was also selected to participate in the Butler Opera Center Young Artist Program at the University of Texas in the summer of 2017. Hannah is planning on studying vocal performance after she graduates.
