Leander ISD would like to congratulate Vandegrift High Schoolโs Ben Poljan for being named the LISD Career and Technical (CTE) Student of the Week. A sophomore in the Business Finance program, Ben has excelled in a leadership role, most notably in Money Matters and Business Information Management. He plans to continue through the Finance Program of Study in his upper-class years.
In Money Matters, Ben takes advantage of opportunities and is very persuasive when presenting learned content to his peers. In BIM, Ben is working toward Microsoft Office Specialist certifications in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
โBen took pride in his presentation and conveyed confidence in his subject matter while effectively convincing the audience to buy his banking product,โ instructor Lisa Dennison said. โHe shows great enthusiasm toward pursuing a career in business.โ
