Vandegrift High School junior Anish Pandya is the Leander ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week. Anish excels in multiple programs, including medical sciences, robotics and molecular biology!
Anish has been one of the key student leaders of Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) at VHS, working to streamline & coordinate the HOSA competition process. He has personally reached out to many health professionals and coordinated guest speakers for the HOSA meetings. He qualified for HOSA State Competition for scoring 2nd in the Area 1 Pathophysiology Test. He is also an active member of VHS Robotics.
“This year, Anish has started a new student organization on the VHS campus geared towards molecular biology research and competition, ‘iGem’,” program instructor Karen Pearce said. “Anish’s passion for the medical sciences is evident in his contagious enthusiasm for HOSA and iGem activities.”
