She just keeps going… and going… and going! Our CTE Student of the Week Julia Rodrigues only had to get one taste of the INCubator program, and she’s fully charged.

In her second year with the entrepreneur program, Vista Ridge High School senior Julia and her team designed a projector the size of a cell phone. Their goal was to make it bright enough to benefit traveling business people with a battery life designed for hours of continuous use. These student startup teams eventually pitch their products to investors with hopes of achieving a real-world product launch.

Julia is so passionate about INCubator she assembled her older siblings to help out. She volunteered her brother Bruno as a mentor. He connected teams with Google Cloud for Startups and is now offering GCS partnerships to ACCELerator teams across the country. Julia’s sister, Luisa, is a graphic designer who has helped many INCubator and ACCELerator teams with logos, websites and wireframes.

“Julia’s enthusiasm for entrepreneurism and learning is contagious to everyone around her,” Vista Ridge High School INCubator teacher Dana Jones said.

Congratulations to Julia for packing power as our CTE Student of the Week!
