He’s got the hardware to prove how much he’s building! Leander ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week Ethan Pickett is crafting success in a big way.
As a Cedar Park High School Applied Agricultural Engineering student, Ethan has built and exhibited many projects over the past two years. Last year, he planned and built a 12-foot bumper pull trailer. During his senior year, Ethan is stepping out of his comfort zone and built a 2-feet by 72-feet belt grinder. At the San Antonio Livestock Show and Rodeo, he won first place in Specialized Tables & Workstations Class. He went on to win second place in Reserve Division in Shop Equipment & Resource Recovery. During spring break, Ethan exhibited his project at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo where he placed second in the Shop Equipment Class!
“Ethan has always been a hard working young man, but this past year, it has been fun watching him grow and develop new skills,” Cedar Park HS agriculture science teacher Myles Russell said. “He is always up for a challenge and will do whatever it takes to get the job done with the utmost attention to detail.”
Well-equipped to achieve greatness, congratulations LISD CTE Student of the Week Ethan Pickett.
