Senior Autumn Sturdivant at Leander High School is the Leander ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Week.

Autumn is in the Interior Design CTE program of study at LHS and is the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter president.

Autumn and the FCCLA officer team worked hard last school year to re-establish their chapter post-pandemic. During the 2021-2022 school year, the chapter had zero returning members. This school year, membership increased 158% from the 21-22 school year as a result of Autumn’s leadership and engagement efforts.

“Autumn is kind, helpful, and is mentoring the younger ID students in her FCCLA competition project,” Interior Design Teacher Kari Kimball said. “She possesses strong soft skills. She is just a well-rounded student overall.”

Autumn is also a member of the National Honor Society and plans to continue her studies in university in the areas of architecture and interior design.
