Glenn High School junior, Emily Marchell, has been named Leander ISD’s Student-Athlete of the Week. Marchell is a two year letterman and Team Captain for the Grizzly Varsity Volleyball team. Marchell has helped lead the Grizzly Volleyball team to a 6-4 record in district, and continues to assist the team as they continue the quest for playoffs. Marchell is one of the statistical leaders in multiple categories including aces, ball handling, and digging.

Not only is Emily a leader on the court, but also in the classroom. Marchell is a member of the National Honor Society and is currently ranked first in her graduating class. Head Volleyball Coach Ashley Foster speaks highly of Marchell; “Emily is a leader on the court and in the classroom. She is an exceptional example of how to be successful as both a student and an athlete”.

Emily Marchell demonstrates what it means to be a true student-athlete, and Leander ISD Athletics is proud to name her a Student-Athlete of the Week.
