More than 2,000 runners helped make the Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation’s 5th Annual MUDstacle its most successful ever.
LEEF’s 5K fun run, held Oct. 14 at Vista Ridge High School, raised more than $60,000 to support programs Β in Leander ISD, one of the fastest growing public school districts in Texas.
Monies raised at this yearβs event represents a 45 percent increase from last yearβs race. But the numbers alone do not tell the MUDstacle story. The race has become an eagerly anticipated family event.
βWe have been coming to MUDstacle every year, β said Bonnie Martin, mother of two LISD students. βOur kids love that we are telling them to play in the mud, crawl in the dirt and jump off large obstacles!β
