Leander ISD is celebrating another big win at the UIL State Marching Band Championships, held at the Alamodome from Nov. 11-12.

Vandegrift High School was crowned the state silver medalist after the performance of their program, titled “Chasing Infinity.” Vista Ridge High School took an impressive 4th place for their performance of “Our Journey of Hope.”

The success of the 6A bands follows the 5A state contest the week prior, in which Cedar Park HS notched its sixth-straight championship, sharing the podium with Rouse HS and Leander HS in 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Glenn HS, in its second-ever trip to the state contest, finished 16th.

What an incredible testament to the hard work and dedication of these students, the high school and middle school directors, and of course, the parents who helped support all along the way!
