Leander ISD is pleased to announce that Westside Elementary School has been successfully recertified as a Leader in Me Lighthouse School, a distinctive honor which recognizes the school’s continued growth and innovation within the Leader in Me framework.
“It truly is an incredible honor to be recognized as a Leader in Me Lighthouse campus for the sixth year in a row,” said Westside Principal Amanda Lillard. “At Westside, we Lead, Grow, and Inspire. I am honored to celebrate the collective efforts of our community, staff, and students in this achievement. Way to go Rockets!”
The Lighthouse Recertification Review is an assessment process for schools to reflect and celebrate their accomplishments since receiving their original Lighthouse Certification. To earn the Lighthouse Certification, schools must demonstrate growth and innovation within the Leader in Me Framework, be evaluated by certified Franklin Covey reviewers and implement a continuous process of school improvement.
Westside was commended for its leadership environment throughout the school, which fosters a sense of belonging and empowerment amongst all stakeholders. The Lighthouse Review Team noted that “all stakeholders at Westside feel welcomed, valued, loved, and supported as part of the school family.”
