Leander ISD’s annual in-district transfer window for currently enrolled Kindergarten through 11th grade students opens in January 2026, giving families earlier opportunities to request a campus transfer for the upcoming school year.
This earlier timeline allows LISD to review transfer requests before staffing allocations are set, helping reduce unnecessary denials at campuses with available space.
Transfer decisions will continue to weigh building capacity, grade-level enrollment and program needs, with students required to be in good standing.
