Leander ISD’s elementary schools hosted senior walks last week, providing graduating seniors with the opportunity to return to their elementary school and celebrate how far they’ve come. What a joyous celebration for these seniors and an inspiration to current elementary students of what’s possible in their future.

For Camacho Elementary, these seniors were the school’s first 5th-grade class when Camacho opened in the 2015–16 school year.

Help Our Schools By Verifying Your Student’s for 2023–24 School Year

Returning Student Enrollment Verification

It’s that time of year when families need to complete enrollment verification for returning students – specifically, students who attended a Leander ISD campus in the 2022–23 school year and plan to return for the 2023–24 school year. By verifying your student’s enrollment for the upcoming year, this helps our team hire enough high-quality staff.

Looking to 2023–24

Feedback & Applications

Feedback & Applications

Leander ISD believes in ongoing conversations and feedback from all of our community members relating to a variety of topics throughout the year. Several programs and initiatives also have specific windows of time where they accept applications. The Feedback & Applications page was created to provide a single location to see all of these timely topics.

Off-Campus PE

Off Campus P.E.

Applications for 2023-24 Off-Campus Physical Education are due June 2.

Leander Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF)

May Mental Health Awareness Month

Providing students with the best education and serving the “whole child” goes beyond books and innovative learning tools, it must include a healthy mind and body. Since its inception in 2007, Leander Educational Excellence Foundation (LEEF) has invested more than $1.5 million back into Leander ISD and our future leaders, including more than $250,000 in mental health and counseling funds.

In honor of May and Mental Health Month, LEEF wants to thank our community and partners for trusting us with your dollars and investments. LEEF raised more than $220,727 through grants funded from Moody Foundation, St. David’s Foundation and Austin Community Foundation to support the Leander ISD mental health initiative. LEEF and LISD recognized the need for counseling services following the isolation of COVID-19. LEEF’s funding enabled LISD to hire a full-time mental health professional for 3 years, providing early intervention mental health services to Leander ISD students and their families.

Read more about how these mental health specialists work with the district. And learn more about how you can make a different by joining LEEF’s Monthly Giving program.

Students and staff may notice new devices in their classrooms. With testing and training happening now, the system should be ready and available for use starting next school year.

Push button Alert System
