Because March is National Athletic Training Month, Leander ISD is recognizing two student-athlete trainers each week–one from every high school campus. We are excited to applaud the contributions of these outstanding students!
From competitor to caregiver, Glenn High School senior Colin Legalos has shown dedication and compassion as a student athletic trainer. Colin assisted and cared for Glenn’s football, baseball, boys basketball and track teams. He also competed on the Grizzly Wrestling team his junior year.
“Colin is a consistently hard-working and reliable student who we have been lucky to have for three years in the sports medicine program,” Glenn High School Athletic Trainer Molly Kidd said.
Colin is on the A/B Honor Roll and plans to attend Texas Tech next year to major in animal science.
Leander High School’s Jenna Lawson has a gift for serving that has set her above the rest!
As a sophomore, Jenna provides aid for the Lion’s football and baseball teams. Even when she’s not at school, she finds ways to help others. Jenna also volunteers with her youth group, leading fourth and fifth-grade girls. During football season, Jenna was selected to the Academic All-District team and is consistently on the A/B Honor Roll.
“Jenna is an honest and hardworking student,” LHS athletic trainer Aerin Henderson said. “She is dependable and she cares about helping the coaches and athletes. Jenna is an asset to our team and does not let anyone fall behind.”
Congratulations to our Student-Athletes of the Week, Colin Legalos & Jenna Lawson!
