A star of Ranger Nation, Katelyn Krienke sparkles as the first Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week for the 2021-2022 school year.
The Vista Ridge High School senior competes on the Ranger volleyball and track teams. In 2020, Katelyn received honors as District 25-6A utility player of the year. This year, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) placed her on the All-America Watchlist. Academically, Katelyn has dedicated her four years of high school to the college-readiness program AVID. School spirit: check. During student pep rallies, Katelyn will rally the pep as emcee!
“Katelyn is the ultimate student-athlete. Not only one of the best players in the area, but she’s also the best teammate you could ask for. She finds the best in her teammates, discovering ways to help them out. With a passion to serve, Katelyn strives to make the volleyball program feel like a family,” VRHS Head Volleyball Coach Holly Lamb said.
Notably, Katelyn has committed to The University of Texas at San Antonio to continue her volleyball career.
