Leander ISD is proud to announce Quinton Koenig from Glenn High School as the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Quinton is a senior member of the Glenn Grizzly Varsity Swim team. With two swim meets under his belt, Quinton has already clocked personal best times in the 50 and 100- yard freestyle events. In addition, he set a new school record in the 100-yard breaststroke. As a previous qualifier for the UIL Region V-5A Swim Meet, Quinton aims to improve his performance and qualify in four events this year.
In addition to his time in the pool, Quinton participates in the Youth and Government club, theater club, and Boy Scouts, while also making the honor roll each year.
“Quinton is an extremely hard worker in and out of the pool” Glenn High School Head Swim Coach Ted Romine said. “He has been a leader in establishing the culture for the swim program since Glenn opened.”
For these reasons, Leander ISD is honored to name Quinton Koenig as the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
