He has taken the overall win in two meets, including earning the title of overall District 25-5A champion! Proving he’s not only a successful runner, Jace is recognized as a member of the National Honor Society.

“Jace Poole is the definition for what it means to be an outstanding student-athlete,” Leander HS Cross Country Head Coach Aubrey Lindberg-Buchhorn said. “He puts in 100% effort at every practice. To help him excel in the sport, he does all the extra, little things an athlete can do. His work ethic and the positive way he approaches his training have a positive effect on his teammates and have pushed many of them to embrace his standard of training.

“Not only is Jace committed to his own training and success, but he is committed to his teammates. Jace is their biggest fan and is a friend to everyone on the team. He cheers the loudest at the meets and is always ready to give a positive shoutout to a teammate who is working hard.”

For being the kind of athlete every coach would want to have on their team, a fantastic finish for #1LISD Student-Athlete of the Week Jace Poole.
