Teagan Bourland from Henry Middle School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.

Teagan is a seventh grade member of the Lady Hawk cross country, volleyball and basketball teams and also plans on running track in the spring. She placed second overall at the district cross country meet.

HMS Girls Athletic Coordinator Pete Hunt said that Teagan is not only one of the top athletes in the district, but is also one of the hardest working.

“Teagan excels in everything she does. She is an outstanding teammate, a natural leader and one of the most competitive people you will meet,” Hunt said. “Teagan never backs away from a challenge in the classroom or on the court. She is the true definition of a Lady Hawk and we are so proud of her.”

During the first six weeks of school, Teagan won the Soaring Hawk Award and made straight A’s.
