Leander ISD is honored to announce Henry Middle School’s Sierra Griffith as the LISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Sierra is an eighth-grade member of the Lady Hawk volleyball, basketball, track and soccer teams. In addition to her commitments as a four-sport athlete, Sierra is a straight-A student and a member of the National Junior Honor Society. As if all of that doesn’t keep her busy enough, she is also a member of the Henry Middle School Symphonic Band.
“Sierra is the epitome of a student-athlete,” said coach Brittany Zamora. “She’s the type of athlete that every coach wants for their program. She has been a four-sport athlete for the last two years and is one of the most coachable athletes at Henry Middle School. Above all else, Sierra leads by example in all areas of her life and is a great teammate.”
