The girl’s got goals! Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week Ella Cole is running circles around excellence!
Ella is a senior captain of both the Rouse High School Raider girls cross country and soccer teams. Since her freshman year, she has made the academic soccer all-district team and the soccer all-district team for the last two years in a row. In cross country races, she has also received numerous medals. Not only a valuable athlete, Ella highly dedicates her time and passion to many extracurricular activities as well as her studies. She represents as a member of the Amazing Raiders, National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, Rho Kappa, Leadership Council and C Squared. Not to mention she is currently ranked 12th in her class!
“Ella strives for perfection in all aspects of life,” Rouse HS Head Cross Country coach Kelly Thompson said. “She is an amazing young lady and a leader among her peers in both athletics and the classroom. Ella ran cross country for the first time as a senior and came to the sport with the work ethic and leadership skills of a veteran runner. She has been an asset to our team and a joy to coach.”
“Ella leads by example” Rouse HS Head Girls Soccer coach Katie Marek said. “Her teammates look up to her and follow her lead constantly. She is consistent day to day and always gives her best. Ella never complains and encourages all to always do their best. She hustles everywhere; it sets a trend daily that her teammates follow.”
