Atop of the leaderboard, Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week Nirjara Gulhane is driving for success!
The Vista Ridge High School sophomore tees off for the Lady Ranger golf team. Nirjara currently ranks No. 1 on the team. A two-year varsity letterman, she has won a major tournament and tied the school record for lowest individual tournament score with a 70. Nirjara dedicates herself to academics as much as she does to golf. Not only taking all AP courses, Nirjara maintains a high, overall GPA.
“Nirjara is the epitome of a student-athlete,” VRHS head golf coach Timothy Gaestel said. “While her focus on her academics is very important, her attention to detail about her golf practice and dedication are qualities I would love to see in all of the golfers on our team.
“She works harder than her competitors, and I believe she will go far academically and athletically. I’m grateful for her commitment to our program!”
