Senior Madalyn Strader from Leander High School is the Leander ISD Student-Athlete of the Week.
Madalyn is a senior, a four year letterman on the Lady Lion softball team and a two year letterman on the varsity girls basketball team. Her accolades include being named to the District 25-5A First Team in softball for the past three years and being named the 2022 District 25-5A Offensive MVP.
“Madalyn Strader is a one-of-a-kind leader for our softball program. She is a dominant force on the field but she leads with absolute grace. Her teammates know she has their backs and would do anything for them,” Head Softball Coach Kendall Driver said. “Madalyn is the exact servant leader you want in your program. Not only that, she plays the game with such passion that it is contagious. I love having her on our team!”
Madalyn will continue her softball career at the University of Indiana.
