Lights, camera, pose. It takes talent to pull off the latest fashion trends, but Cedar Park High School’s Robert Sears knows how to work it. Sears traveled to Milan, Italy over the summer to walk the runway for Prada’s fall mens collection.

The CPHS senior initially signed with Mazza Models in Austin this past May at the urging of a friend and fellow model. Not long after, Sears was discovered on Instagram by a modeling agency in New York City. A week later, he received a call from his agent with the offer to model Prada in Milan in June.

“It was surreal,” Sears said. “It still feels surreal. I don’t think I stopped smiling the whole time I was in Italy. Of course I was nervous. What if I tripped?”

Thankfully, he didn’t, and the modeling offers poured in after that. Sears spent the majority of his summer in New York attending casting calls and magazine shoots. Recently, he was on the cover of China Modern Weekly Magazine and will be modeling in New York for Fashion Week next month.

Congratulations, Robert!
