The 11th annual Leander ISD Geography Bee was held Friday, March 1. Eight middle schools sent their finalists to compete for the title of District Geography Bee Champion.
Eighth grader Nihar Janga from Canyon Ridge Middle School is the returning champion for the district. He had stiff competition from Cedar Park Middle School’s Jaden Kolenbrander, as Jaden is the first runner up.
Champions from HMS, FSMS, CPMS and CRMS have qualified for advancement to the next round of the National Geographic National Geography Bee.
