Faubion Elementary has long been a strong and connected school community, and we recognize that conversations about attendance boundaries are deeply personal. Leander ISD is currently reviewing attendance boundaries and exploring two possible rezoning scenarios involving Faubion Elementary for the 2026-27 school year.

Families are encouraged to review both scenarios and share their feedback. Input from the community will help the district better understand what matters most to families as next steps are evaluated.

Elementary (Grades K-5) Rezoning Scenarios

The following options apply to kindergarten through 5th grade students currently zoned to Faubion Elementary.

Scenario A: School Community Stays Together

  • All Faubion Elementary students would be rezoned to Westside Elementary
  • This option keeps the entire Faubion school community together.

Scenario B: Alignment with Middle School Boundaries

  • Students currently zoned to Cedar Park Middle School would attend Westside Elementary.
  • Students currently zoned to Henry Middle School would attend Reed Elementary
  • This option prioritizes feeder patterns and alignment between elementary and middle school attendance boundaries.

Note: Information regarding PreK adjustments for families previously assigned to Faubion will be shared in the near future.

Share Your Feedback

Community input will be reviewed alongside enrollment data, capacity considerations and program needs as the district evaluates next steps. Feedback will be accepted through Tuesday, Jan. 27, and additional updates will be shared as the process continues.
