Tis the season for giving: giving presents to friends and family, giving your time and giving back to the community. For three years, students in Janelle Nichols third grade class have made blankets for cancer patients in treatment. The third graders and their parents stayed after school to hand make 36 blankest this holiday season.
“I am extremely proud of how my students really bought into the idea of helping others,” Nichols said. “Through the blanket making project our kids have learned so many life lessons that they will carry with them as long as they live.”
