Leander ISD is pleased to announce that Jayme Spexarth will be the new principal of Stiles Middle School, after the Board approved the hiring at Thursday’s meeting.

“Please join me in congratulating Jayme Spexarth as the new principal of Stiles Middle School. As a present and visible leader, Jayme is committed to fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment,” Superintendent Bruce Gearing, Ed.D., said. “Her strong leadership skills and instructional knowledge will continue the pursuit of academic excellence at Stiles Middle School while also supporting the balance of the whole child.”

Spexarth has nearly eight years of experience in administrative leadership roles on campuses, most recently serving as associate principal at Vandegrift High School. She previously served as an assistant principal at both Leander High School and Lago Vista Middle School in Lago Vista ISD. She began her career in education at Vista Ridge High School in 2006 as a family and consumer sciences teacher, becoming a college and career transition coordinator after several years in the classroom.

“I am passionate about partnering with teachers and parents to create a middle school experience that serves as a catalyst for our Stiles students to achieve amazing things in our community and beyond,” Spexarth said. “I have been invested in the Stiles community for the past decade as a parent and neighbor. Having the opportunity to serve Stiles students, teachers and parents as their principal is an honor and a privilege.”

Spexarth received a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Ecology with a Family and Consumer Science teaching certification from Kansas State University. She completed a Masters in Education at Texas State University in 2016, along with a principal certification. During the 2019-2020 school year, she also completed the LISD Prospective Principal Program.
