Leander ISD is proud to celebrate the achievements of our students in Career & Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) for the spring 2026 semester. CTSOs provide students the opportunity to apply their Career & Technical Education (CTE) curriculum in competitive events as well as develop their leadership skills for the future.

DECA

Distributive Education Clubs of America — DECA prepares students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality & management, entrepreneurship.

FCCLA

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America — The organization functions as an integral part of the Family and Consumer Sciences education curriculum. Leander ISD is a force in the Interior Design competition, sweeping the Interior Design Level 2 event with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and taking 1st and 3rd in Interior Design Level 3.


HOSA

Future Healthcare Professionals — HOSA provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs or have interests in pursuing careers in health professions. 


SkillsUSA

SkillsUSA students hone their hands-on skills against current industry standards in more than 100 occupational areas. At the same time, they develop the transformative career-readiness skills — teamwork, communication, professionalism, leadership and more — that fuel career and life success.


ProStart

ProStart is a two-year, industry-backed culinary arts and restaurant management program for high school students. Students learn how to be an industry professional through hands-on work under the direction of a mentor. Mentors help students make the connection between their present performance and their future career. Students also learn the importance of arriving on time prepared for work, teamwork and accountability.

TAFE

Texas Association of Future Educators — TAFE allows students to explore the teaching profession.
