The dedication for Hisle Elementary School this morning provided another special moment in the first year of #1LISD’s 30th elementary school.

The school is named after a long-time Board of Trustees member, Donald Lewis Hisle, who served on the LISD Board for 23 years before retiring in 2018.

At the dedication, the community had the opportunity to walk the halls of the new school and try on some of the learning experiences available to students each and every day.

The construction of Hisle ES was funded through project savings from the 2007 & 2017 bonds, along with some funds for roads from the 2023 bond.

This facility, and the home to these new Hounds, is the result of a lot of coordination and hard work along the way.
