Leander ISD would is proud to announce Leander High School senior Allie Melanson as the LISD Fine Arts Student of the Week.
Allie, a drum major with the Leander HS band the last two years, is also a standout mellophone player and concert band section leader. She is also a high-achieving student and dedicated volunteer in her community.
“Allie is mature beyond her years, polite, well spoken, kind and loyal,” Leander High School Associate Director of Bands Ali Carraher said. “She is a perfect example of student leader who always chooses to go above and beyond to help her peers directors and the band program as a whole. I can always look to Allie to lead by example and raise the standard for her peers.”
